Occupational Therapist - fixed term contract
Salary: £29,071 - £35,531 per annum depending on experience (equivalent to Band 6)
Hours: Full time
Type: Permanent, 52 weeks
Seashell Trust runs Outstanding (Ofsted) special School, and Specialist College together with 17 on-site residential homes for children and young people with complex learning disabilities, physical disabilities and multisensory impairments.
We are recruiting an Occupational Therapist on a fixed term contract for 6-9 months to join our multi-disciplinary therapy team. The role will to provide in depth assessment and intervention plans for young people with a variety of complex needs, including physical and learning difficulties, multi-sensory impairment, communication difficulties, autism and challenging behaviour.
Candidates for this role must have a recognised Occupational Therapy qualification (BSc or MSc), must be registered as a practitioner with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the British Association of Occupational Therapists. Experience of post graduate training in Ayres sensory integration is preferred.
Candidates must have proven experience or demonstrate a special interest in working as an Occupational Therapist with children and / or young people with complex learning disabilities.
