Role Summary

We are recruiting for ASA/STA Swimming Teacher to join our Sports Department.

The position will be responsible for the delivery and development of the swimming programme in our main swimming pool and our hydrotherapy pool for children and young people at Seashell Trust. The role will also assist in delivery and development of the fully inclusive Seashell Swim Community programme for people who attend our lessons from the local community.

This is an excellent opportunity to expand and diversify your skills teaching swimming for a wide range of ages and abilities. We offer group and 1:1 sessions for both able bodied and disabled children/young people.

What are the requirements?

- RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Award or similar equivalent.

- ASA / STA Level 2 Swimming Teachers qualification

- Experience of teaching swimming at all ages and abilities

- Experience of delivering swimming & water-based activities for children, young people and adults with special needs advantageous but not essential

- Strong organisation and communication skills

- Flexible approach to work

- English and Maths GCSE grade A-C, or level 2 equivalent

What are the hours?

  • Term time only – we follow Stockport LEA holidays

  • This role will work regular evenings and weekends
